Complaints....bad driver
Afternoon.

I would like to lay a complaint to one of your drivers. Plate number BW30PK-GP.

I just off a taxi with a taxi driver that was so disrespectful and rude to us. We were from bree to orlando and was sitting at the back seat. We paid with R70 for 4. The change was supposed to be R14 and they gave us R12 i told the driver that the money was short with R2 and they driver threatened to stop the taxi and beat me cause his money is short,i tried to explain that we paid with R70 and we were all paying R14 so out change is supposed to be R14 not R12. He actually pulled a hand brake wanting to come beat me up just for that.

I asked him to return our R70 so that we can start paying from scratch,he asked then whose money should be short because my is short by R2. We can across a very bad accident were a taxi was upside down and some people were even laying on the ground he then said " niyadelela kanti futhi nisaba nokufa, ngingay faka khona lana nami letaxi nife nonke" his exact words.

He went on to say "bayalayeka nabo laba" saying to the people that got into accident. So to me hes not a driver suitable for driving people around as he cannot communicate with passengers with respect.

I would like for his action be punished and lose his job because next time he will do the accident delibarately because " he says hes not scared of dying". Please look into this,as people's lives are at risk for drivers like this, an update will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Ntebaleng, STS/STA doesn't have a route from Bree to Orlando, but on behalf of taxi industry, we apologize for the inconvenience. Taxi drivers normally DO NOT collect cash or give change to passengers especially from a binding point, its the passenger/s in front seat that do so, the driver just tells how much is his/her money, the problem was within passengers, in most cases passengers take an extra change and don't give it back even if there's a complain there's a shortage of money. We plead to customers to please bring the exact amount they know they paying to avoid such, its a rule that the driver stops the taxi and resolve the issue to avoid accidents.

I understand the point you making. But the driver was supposed to have handled this better. He should have just explained that my money is okay and does not have ay extra money instead of threatening to beat me and even making an accident to kill us all. That driver is very rude and cannot be working with people if cannot stand communicating with people. If you work with people mostly the the person need to be able to tolerate people with their difference and be able to explain patiently without being rude.

Bad treatment by a taxi driver
I am hurt.i took a taxi at Jabulani mall to Protea Glen it was 17:28 I got home at 19:00 the driver refused to take me to ext 14 ..he drove all the way from ext 12 to 16 , 26 , 28 with me when he was at ext 28 he left me in a taxi to buy his stuff when I try to say a word he threatened me so bad. Lost wallet
On Wednesday the 1st July 2020 I board a taxi from Glenridge to end street joburg and when I climb out of the taxi I have realized that I have lost my wallet with cards and money at around 16h00. All I'm asking is please let me have my cards back. KD Khoza ********

early hours of the morning a siyaya taxi Reg RBN395GP from protea glen to jhb we were 10 according to the lockdown and the regulation that the minister stipulated but the driver told me that i talk to much the agreement was that 15 in a minibus. i am very disappoint that our lives has been put in jeopardy because of the individuals and is only that but deceiving the end of justice.

Bad hospitality in taxis
So We Ask about a taxi going to uj Soweto campus...apparently we had no idea that the taxi was binding....once we wanted to get off the driver started swearing at us saying we cannot leave the taxi ....he wanted to beat us up and we are just students....is this how are we supposed to be treated while we are paying playing with our own money....I even took a number plate of the taxi ...I've been trying to call the taxi association to intervene on this matter but no luck...can someone please help

Lost hand bag
On Christmas day I forgot my black hand bag inside the taxi from Naledi to bara and I was the last person in the taxi with my kids before it went inside to collect other passengers. I went back on Sunday to bara then the Marshall told me he started working only on Saturday. If found please advise me where to collect. My number is ********.

Behavior of a taxi driver
I just took a taxi from Ext12 to Glen mall and I told the driver that I'm gonna get off at the post office side. He said OK, then the driver took another route and started to swear at me infront of other passengers. Can this matter be dealt with. The number plate is XZG310 GP. This is my first encountering something like this.
