Review Bad hospitality in taxis

So We Ask about a taxi going to uj Soweto campus...apparently we had no idea that the taxi was binding....once we wanted to get off the driver started swearing at us saying we cannot leave the taxi ....he wanted to beat us up and we are just students....is this how are we supposed to be treated while we are paying playing with our own money....I even took a number plate of the taxi ...I've been trying to call the taxi association to intervene on this matter but no luck...can someone please help
