Afternoon.

I would like to lay a complaint to one of your drivers. Plate number BW30PK-GP.

I just off a taxi with a taxi driver that was so disrespectful and rude to us. We were from bree to orlando and was sitting at the back seat. We paid with R70 for 4. The change was supposed to be R14 and they gave us R12 i told the driver that the money was short with R2 and they driver threatened to stop the taxi and beat me cause his money is short,i tried to explain that we paid with R70 and we were all paying R14 so out change is supposed to be R14 not R12. He actually pulled a hand brake wanting to come beat me up just for that.

I asked him to return our R70 so that we can start paying from scratch,he asked then whose money should be short because my is short by R2. We can across a very bad accident were a taxi was upside down and some people were even laying on the ground he then said " niyadelela kanti futhi nisaba nokufa, ngingay faka khona lana nami letaxi nife nonke" his exact words.

He went on to say "bayalayeka nabo laba" saying to the people that got into accident. So to me hes not a driver suitable for driving people around as he cannot communicate with passengers with respect.

I would like for his action be punished and lose his job because next time he will do the accident delibarately because " he says hes not scared of dying". Please look into this,as people's lives are at risk for drivers like this, an update will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Ntebaleng, STS/STA doesn't have a route from Bree to Orlando, but on behalf of taxi industry, we apologize for the inconvenience. Taxi drivers normally DO NOT collect cash or give change to passengers especially from a binding point, its the passenger/s in front seat that do so, the driver just tells how much is his/her money, the problem was within passengers, in most cases passengers take an extra change and don't give it back even if there's a complain there's a shortage of money. We plead to customers to please bring the exact amount they know they paying to avoid such, its a rule that the driver stops the taxi and resolve the issue to avoid accidents.

I understand the point you making. But the driver was supposed to have handled this better. He should have just explained that my money is okay and does not have ay extra money instead of threatening to beat me and even making an accident to kill us all. That driver is very rude and cannot be working with people if cannot stand communicating with people. If you work with people mostly the the person need to be able to tolerate people with their difference and be able to explain patiently without being rude.
