RIBS
I bought ribs from the Preller Square branch, when we opened it, it wasn't nearly what the package sealed presented. I took photos and sent it to a regional manager in KZN and was informed that the regional from BFN would contact me. As to date I have not received a phone call or even a message. If this is the quality Checkers is offering and after sales service then I will shop somewhere else in the future. Did not expect this from a quality product and franchise

Good service
At checkers blubird at Melrose I got a very good service from Nonhlanhla Vilakazi. A lady who always shows a smile even behind her musk, always tidy and friendly to customers she likes people and it was not a first time being served by her

Bad Treatment
I'm very disappointed with the service i got from the lady named Rachel Makgoba working at Savannah Mall checkers in Polokwane . I visited the store on the 9th October 2021 around 14:13.she was working at the kiosk till, as a heavily pregnant woman I couldn't stant on the Ques inside and since I got less than 10 items in my trolley I went straight to the kiosk to pay. They were 2 and the Que had about 10 people. I stand behind the guy she was assisting hoping she will assist me after. But Rachel rudely said to me. "the Que starts there,go stand on a Que" When is my turn to pay I was expecting her to politely explain why she couldn't assist me instead she continued telling me how she can't do things on my terms.I felt like I could just leave the trolley there and go to another shop but I couldn't as I was tired and just wanted to get the things I craved for and get home.

Complain about Long Makhubela
I'm very disappointed about the service i got from the guy Long Makhubela working at Sunnypark checkers, he made me to pay him for helping me with trolley from sunnypark checkers to the parking lot, since when are we paying people who are working and getting paid, i mean like it's his job

Misleading Advertising
The Checkers Hyper Catalogue was released today the 25th of March 2021 on Guzzle. The advert stated from the 22nd March - 11 April 2021.I called the store to check stock of the product only to find out the page the item is on, the date indicated is the 22 March - 11 April 2020. This is false advertising and alot of my time wasted on phone calls to several stores.

bad service
I am very disapointed with Checkers The Glen that expect tenants to stand in the outside line with customers as we have 50% staff due to covit 19 just to buy lunch might as well go back to Pick n Pay.

Disappointed in a microwave complaint.
I bought a microwave in august last year at your branch in durbanville. I work in durbanville and got to love their speacials. The time i bought the microwave i loved it when i saw it at the end of my purchase i asked the cashier what is ur guarantee on the microwave she said 1yr and if any issues i must keep my slip and the box i dnt need. I called into the branch explained my complaint and i was told they going to call me back in 10mins. A 10 mins later i was was told that the regional says i need the box and they cant help. I was upset as i have neighbours and friends working at checkers and they said my slip is good enough and its a quality issue in the guarantee year. Its a ottimo microwave and dnt expect this microwave to rust inside and on top. Im not happy with the service i recieved telephonically.

Prices on expired vegetables
Checkers since December have increased the price of the expired vegetables from R14.99 to R39.99 per kg. This is an
absolute disgrace, as the people buying the expired goods are pensioners and the low income groups. Beans for instance
are soft and turning brown are sold at R39.99 but you can buy fresh beans at R29.99 per kg. Shame on you Checkers,
trying to make money from the people who can least afford it.

Prices on expired vegetables
I shop at Checkers in Oudtshoorn, as I am a pensioner I always check the vegetables that have been marked down, but since December that price of the expired vegetables have increased from R14.99 to R39./kg. As it is mostly pensioners and the under priveledged community that were buying the expired fruit and vegetables I am shocked at the attitude of
Checkers. I always recommended Checkers to all my friends but not any more. It is cheaper to go a buy at other places and get Fresh vegetables at a more reasonable price than EXPIRED vegetables at Checkers. I spoke to them and was told that they don't set the prices head office does. Well you have just lost a customer and others will follow suit. I would love to hear your explanation.

I purchased olive oil at checkers New park (Kimberley. Only to find out that my pregnant girlriend saw that the oil has expired on the ********....whereas I bought the oil on the 29th of October 2016. For such a huge company in Africa we get to be sold expired stock, now i can see how they manage to get such a huge turnover every year out selling people crap. Now my question is what is going to happen? Is this matter just going to be left unattend.. I want answers I want action to be taken because I am surely not going to let this one go....we go to that store trusting that we will get proper goods not to double check expiry dates on each and every item we want to purchase. Is that how you run your business. I still have the tillslip and the product purchased...

Good day,
I had been to the Checkers Hyper in Shallcross Ridge Durban yestersday and had a very unpleasant shopping exprience. We went looking for the braai coal and found that there were only 4 bags of 2kg which felt like all the coal were crushed. And there was a 5kg bag which was torn. We had spoken to a shelfpacker who had went and phoned for someone from the coal department, we waited in the ile for about 10mins walking up and down checking for assistance, and then asked another male shelfpacker whom said he would go to call someone and he never came back, after anothe 5 mins we decided we would continue our shopping, and we did so and then found an indian female supervior who told us she will send someone so we went back to the ile and waited 5 mins went by and no one came to our assistance. We decided to leave out the braai coal as we would to purchase it elsewhere. We go to the cashier and pay for our goods then at the till point the female supervisor whom said that the manager sent braai coal up, after making a call to confirm, after about 5 mins she then sent a packer to fetch a bag of braai coal for us, at this point we were so irritated that we did not care what brand or kind of coal it was, we just wanted to get it and get out as not even the manager came up to apologise for the inconveince. It is not the first time some thing like this had happened, last week my fiance went to purchase a tool appliance but staff was unable to get the price and code of the item and my fiance didn't end up purcahsing it. I do hope that this matter will be looked into. Thank you in advance.
