Poor Service
On 30th July I sent my MX454 Printer to Partserve Cape Town for repair as the paperfeed was jamming. On 2nd August I received a sms with cost for repair which I had to confirm by e-mail or voice call. I called and gave the go ahead. On 4th Aug i phoned to confirm progress, at thjis stage I was informed it was not a repair but a replacement unit as printer was now obsolete. I followed up on th efollowing days and got the same story of we will check the tracking and call you back sir. Called 4th, 6th, 10th, 11th & 12th Aug. Answer is always we are waiting for Canon to send us the unit, we will check and call you back, Needless to say no calls.
I still have no idea when I will receive my printer.
Service like this makes one to consider if you should ever buy a Canon Printer again.

I purchased this new age printer for 2699on 14 July'20 fr home use only, it was only used 1/2 times a month to print and two weeks and exactly two weeks after the warranty date, it would not print in black or color, took it PartService - MG 28 July'21 now they quoted me 1,586 to replace the printer heads, unbelievable as it was hardly used what a rip off

I have been using Canon cameras for over 30 years, I have a problem with my Canon printer - but try and get hold of anyone slightly interested in helping, first try and find a contact number on the web site - impossible- try Telcom and thy give you a old number that doesn't work, and when I did get a number from the Yellow Pages the phone rang for over 5 minutes on each of the four occasions I called - this is not the support one would expect from a world class product and brand

I have been a big Canon fan for years, but are most disappointed with the service of the Bloemfontein branch of Canon. I want to buy a CanoScan 9000F scanner. As they do not have knowledge about the product, I had to phone them numerous times. Each time they said that they would phone me back. Well I am still waiting. I even phoned the branch manager to complain about the sales person, but I am still waiting for him to phone me back. No wonder that the sales agent's service is so bad if the manager can't give better service himself! I am staying 200km away from Bloemfontein, and told the sales person that I was going to Bloemfontein last Monday and I need them to order the product from Johannesburg. Needless to say I am still waiting for a call and will have to pay courier costs as well, to have the scanner delivered... that is IF I will still buy from Canon.....
