Review of NOKIA CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE

1.0
I am very disappointed with the service I've received last week. My phone had trouble charging the last month or so. I finally took my phone in to Nokia in Hatfield. They phoned me back the same day saying I had to pay R790 to have it fixed. I asked why I had to pay for it and why it can't be fixed under waranthy. They said I broke the USB point. To me it seems that Nokia doesn't pay much attention toe consumer rigths. Making accusations like that can be very bad for business. I said that they should continue with the repair but that I was not satisfied with their explanation of why the waranthy doesn't cover this. Why should I pay for wear and tear on the phone. The guy I spoke to said he would take it up with his manager and phone me back. He never did. This was Monday. They phoned me back on Thursday and said that I can come and collect my phone. I again asked why I had to pay for it he still couldn't give me a good explanation. He said he would show me the broken part when I come in and collect my phone. They wiped my hole phone which I do not understand as this had nothing to do with the content of the phone. When you fix the screen do you also wipe the hole phone? He said that the waranthy covers software and mechanical problems. This to me qualifies as a mechanical problem. I asked for the broken part, he went to ask for it and came back saying that they do not keep broken parts. This is very convenient. It was the same guy I spoke to on the phone just a couple of hours earlier. He then said that he never said that he would show me the broken part. Again no consumer rights. I ended up paying the money but this is unacceptable. The last three months I advised three other people to take a Nokia Lumia when they upgrade. They did so on my recommendation and then this is the service you give your loyal consumers. If you claim that I do not use the charger the right way then it is your responsibility to show me how to use it. According to me there is no trip to charging the phone. I have never forced the charger in and I have never had this problem.
