NIKE SPRINGFIELD - SELLING DEFECT & REFUSE ACCOUNTABILITY-

I bought PrimeHYPE Nike in October for my son. Unfortunately he met with a car accident the night before KZN trials and was medically booked off the field for three months due to injuries sustained at the crash
He then could not use his basketball shoes until January when he went back on the field. These shoes have since torn from the sole and when I returned them to Springfield Brendon Smith (the brand manager) tells me that the Prime Hype is ONLY made for indoor basketball and I should have returned them the minute they started to tear from the soul. Now here is a man who expects me to examine my son's shoes after every match just in case there is a defect. Why were we not advised of this at point of sale? Since when is basketball ONLY an indoor sport? He then refers me to your terms and conditions that guarantee a 6 months period. He could not explain these conditions where I am to examine the shoe & to return immediately when I suspect a defect. He implies (in front of a very long queue with customers now starring at me) that I am lying about the shoe not being used, so I have attached the doctor's report to prove the injuries sustained at the accident scene from the car crash. As he kept on saying this shoe can never not been used.
Then comes Shaun Redlinghys who has one look at the shoes and dismisses the fact that it was used on the basketball field!!!!! Did I buy basketball shoes for what! Soccer, running or modern dance!!! So I took the liberty of taking his name & Brandon's , then only did he decide to take the pictures and refer the matter??? I cannot believe the humiliation I had to endure between these two gentlemen who are the expert in examining the shoe and refuse point blank to have the shoe tested. He Implies that I am lying about where and when the shoe had been used & how. I did not come to Nike to waste their time nor did I have any intention on mine being wasted. So I walked in to Adidas next door & bought a new pair so that my son can carry on with his sport and not be limited in to an indoor court. I have been a loyal customer to this very store since my son started playing basketball in primary. He is now almost at professional level for KZN. I could prove this as he still has his practice shoe bought from the very store (as we have been for years buying his sports gear from them) just over a year ago & hasn't been torn! This pair is clearly a defect & Nike refuses accountability!

I am not only disappointed at the level of service received or lack thereof, am shocked at the quality of a brand I had trusted for years. NEVER AGAIN!

I have two family members that purchased Nikes at two different stores, different styles but similar materials and within two months of purchasing the netting came loose. Nike wasn't willing to replace as they said it was due to wear and tear- very disappointed as these shoes were both over a R1000 and hardly been worn. We often buy Nikes and cannot believe the terrible feedback we got.
disgusted.

Today I went to the Nike Factory Shop at Atterbury Value Mart. There was a weekend sale and the shop could not handle the volumes with a cashier queue of about 50 people. I left my daughter in the queue to quickly visit another shop. On my return the shop had already closed and the security guard would not let me back into the shop. I explained that my daughter is standing in the queue and I need to pay. She indicated that she needs to clear it with her manager and three times she came back indicating that I should give my credit card to my daughter that she can pay. I explained that I cannot give my credit card to my daughter as she cannot use it and it is fraud. Finally a “manager” arrived who got very defensive when I told him the shop is badly managed. You cannot let people wait for approximately an hour to pay and then not to let your customer into the shop to pay is absolutely ludicrous. The “manager’s” response was that all the cashiers are active and that constitutes good management – there is nothing he can do. I suggest you send this “manager” for training as he needs to learn the basics that 1) you don’t shut the door in your client’s face when he wants to pay for something 2) don’t make your problems mine - I couldn’t care less how many cashiers you have - your job as manager is to make sure that the client gets served within a reasonable time and 3) don’t become defensive when the client asks you if you want his business. Fortunately we left without buying anything. We went to another shop where the very friendly sales lady convinced us to spend more and sign-up for their loyalty programme – that is what I call good business.

If you looking for excellent service go to Nike Store in East Gate. We received such super efficient, friendly, highly knowledgeable service by Eileen. She listened to what I required and made other suggestions and after fitting it was exactly what I needed. To all employees at East Gate store well done and thanks for your excellent service!

I went to Nike factory in Woodmead, most ladies bottoms I tried to fit were dirty in the panty line. It was really disgusting, I know it's something beyond control of workers in the store but I believe the issue can be sorted. My suggestion is to have pantyliner or hygiene protector similar to the one used for swimwear.

I purchased a Nike sneaker at the Athletes foot store in the Waterfront on 17 April 2016. Within 5 months I noticed the glue was coming loose.I took it to the store and they had it glued without even speaking to me first. I contacted Nike customer services and spoke to Chantal Zimri. She said she would look into the matter and revert back to me.She contacted me once and said that the matter would be escalated to an accounts manager. Since then I haven't heard anything from her. I contacted your offices again on 17 November and to date I have not received any calls. I'm so appalled by the lack of customer service received from Nike!! Don't think I would waste my money on purchasing Nike sneakers again.....

I have the same problem...
The thing is I bought my shoes a long time ago..
Due to some problems I did not use them immediately..
I threw away the box 3 months ago.
Now I am having the same problem.
Believe it or not. Earlier this year I had to return Nikes as well.
luckilly they refunded me, but now I am starting all over again.
I have given them my original slip due to the previous shoes that had a factory issue
I am not sure what to do now.
Can I use these after I glued them?
I think I am finished with Nike

I bought Nike 50. in June. Was told they are for running at Nike Eastgate. They are now starting to hurt my hamstring. When i was using Asics i ran for two years straight, longer distances. Nothing happened. Now these Nikes are not for running. Please educate your staff on how to access clients on assisting customers on how to choose proper running shoes.

I bought 2 pairs of the tanjun women's size 4 online and both are not symmetrical at the front which I already returned at Totalsports. For a brand as big as Nike this is unacceptable considering how expensive their products are to be receiving such bad workmanship.
