Review of LOVERS ROCK FAMILYY RESORT

The "chalet" as they call it when you phone for information is really a very neglected park home. It looks like a container/sink shack - stifelingly hot during the day (with no aircon or even a fan) and cold at night. They market a "family resort" but in the "chalet" (we stayed in nr 4) there is open electrical cables in the main bedroom,a hole in the floor of the TINY bathroom with no grid over it (my crawling baby actually fell through the hole with his upper body) and a high patio with no railings. Also, the reception makes you feel like a criminal as soon as you arrive - you have to pay a R200 key deposit and they send someone to escort you to the "chalet" to count all the cutlery etc. Before you leave they send someone to count everything again before you get your key deposit back. The bathroom was filthy with old hair in the shower. The stove doesn't work. The lights don't work - you can only switch on 1 at a time.
