Question for Ludwig's Soleil Cut Roses

I am moving and want to take my roses with to new place but have limited garden help. Can I prune the trees and take them out lets say 2-3 weeks before we move. We will keep them moist and in a cold place. Would this be acceptable or is the period too long. How long will they be ok from taking them out of the ground.
