Paper Video - Cape Town

Paper Video is an ambitious edtech social enterprise with a lofty goal: to provide every student in South Africa with access to high-quality educational resources. Founded by Chris Mills and Paul Maree in June 2014, the project was given a kick-start when it secured seed funding from the Millennium Trust. Soon after, Paper Video released its first batch of resources – 353 exam questions and video solutions for Grade 12 Mathematics – in September 2014. In the two months leading up to the 2014 NSC finals, Paper Video gained more than 2,000 online users and 37,000 video views. The sudden demand for more subjects and grades from students all over the country prompted Paper Video to rapidly expand its offerings. Today, Paper Video provides Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Accounting materials for Grades 8 to 12.
