Founder Karen Fisher realized after having a family and love and passion, she had for children gave up the corporate world and wanted to do something from home. Realizing the demand for quality swim instruction after teaching swimming lessons in London, many years ago, at a local swimming club. Karen decided to build a pool and teach swimming lessons from home. Karen, again, realized the great need for quality swim instruction as she regularly accumulated a waiting list and her clientele grew record-breaking numbers for her pool at home.

So, I began researching the swim industry, learning from other swim school owners at several swim school conferences before beginning a business plan of how to expand. After the two years of research, and a lot of hard work, Karen found new premises for Splash Swim Academy. Situated in Redwood College, La Lucia and Maris Stella Girls School, Essenwood Berea.

Since operating out of the new premises, Splash Swim Academy has grown and is now able to take on more children, swim all year round. Splash Swim Academy has employed several swimming teachers and other staff members.

Our Philosophy

Splash Swim Academy was created by a parent, for parents, with this goal in mind — to give kids the platform to build essential life skills that will help them make waves in life. We’ve created an inviting and safe place where kids overcome their fears, learn to swim, respect the water and have lots of fun while doing it. Our two heated indoor pools are simply the fun backdrop for where kids do some serious growing and learning. So, while we’re focused on the serious stuff, your family will be focused on the fun.
It’s about momentum. Forward movement, growth. It’s about showing kids that they are something, will be something and, whether that’s the next president or a role in the school play, that something will be undeniably them.
