HPCSA registered Educational Psychologist Danielle M. Forsyth has been in private practice since 2011. She is bilingual, speaking both English and Afrikaans, a mother of two and has a vast passion for working with learners in their early phases of development. She has an Early Child and Foundation Phase Teaching degree and has worked at numerous schools across Johannesburg providing her teaching and psychological services for the last 5 years. She has also been working as a Senior Behavioural Therapist at The Star Academy- affiliated Centre for Autism and Related Disorders Clinic for the last 3 years. Here she followed the developmental potential of Applied Behavioural Analysis Intervention with Autistic learners as young as 2 years.

Using psychotherapy, education and willpower, she strive towards enhancing confidence and strengthening character within a safe and positive environment.

Danielle works predominantly from a Transtheoretical and Integrative Perspective, taking into consideration the client’s readiness for change. In addition, she employs a broad range of therapeutic modalities which are individually tailored to the client’s needs. She also enjoys the training and diagnostic aspects within her field such as running workshops as well as conducting career, psycho-educational, emotional and school readiness testing. Danielle believes in the importance of the individual and their environment and is committed to a holistic and balanced approach both diagnostically and therapeutically.

She also provides Culinary Art Therapy as a service which promotes social skills in groups, mixing her love for cooking with her therapeutic skills. Its benefits are rich and delicious, and include self-esteem building, enhancing brain development, and helping people connect on a deeper interpersonal level.
