Nightmare on Holmfirth
After a lengthily and most unfortunate stay, my 'living' experience had been soon hallmarked to more of a dying experience. Belmont's deathly-hallows ring absurdities of the utmost residential injustices, whereby for the most part, those who reside in the dilapidated hovel are angry, upset and downright miserable people. The collective melancholy of atmospheric disdain is but a direct result of the overcharged 'rooms', that are old and outdated but without any of the antique charm of age; the ancient relics Just come only with a ghostly ambiance. The electrics are a text-book fire and safety hazard and the security or lack thereof leaves no room for piece-of-mind. Essentially, the units are priced at an absurdly exuberant rate for a building that has the aesthetics remnant of an abandoned inner-city slum, not fit for human inhabitance. The only positive amenity the Belmont can claim is that aside from the generations of resident roaches- there is surprisingly no rat problem as pests and other vermin deem it not fit for even rodents dare not reside in The Nightmare on Holmfirth!!! !
PUBLIC USER
I have used an alias to hide my identity since I lived there and thankfully escaped.

The above review is absolutely correct. They have tried to make the slum look good by doing up the foyer and installing cameras on all 5 floors as well as the foyer which are equipped with sound resulting in no privacy and creating a very institutionalised environment.

The lift breaks periodically and often for weeks at a time. Many residents struggle climbing the stairs; an incident of a resident falling and breaking an ankle was trivialised and sadly persons find it amusing at the expense of those who struggle.

The water is often off and issues with electricity.

Walls are thin so you can hear the neighbour talking as well as breaking wind.

The resident cockroaches come out at night and hide by day.

I wouldn't advise anyone move in. If you do, it's at your own risk.
