The university of Johannesburg's center for social change and the casual workers advice office, has made findings that Majority of companies has forced workers to take paid and unpaid leaves during this period of the lockdown instead of applying for assistance from the labor and employment department. Complains from workers has been collected in order to make this possible. Companies in operation are advised to apply for the covid-19 Temporary Employer/Employee relief scheme (C19 TERS). These scheme will help pay the cost of employees salaries for up to three months. Companies failing to comply to the lockdown employer's regulations will risk being fined or their trade licenses being terminated. From the interviewed workers some of them were drivers of the chakalinga projects cc, and complained of missing a two week wage since the lockdown. Investigations regarding the allegations posed on the company will continue, and sufficient measures will be engaged to deal with the problem.
