I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cape Town and a Psychology Honours degree (Cum Laude) from the University of South Africa. I am a registered Counsellor (PRC.0003964) & Psychometrist (PMT.0077593) with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). After specialized training in conflict resolution, negotiation and mediation, I am also an Accredited Mediator with the Family Mediators Association of the Cape (FAMAC). As part of my Continuous Professional Development, I successfully completed the Correspondence Learning Course on the Basics of Personal Construct Psychology (PCP) & its Methods of Inquiry offered by the University of Hertfordshire. I am also an Accredited Myers-Brigss Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessor having completed the required accreditation

In my capacity as a Registered Counsellor, I have a particular interest in helping children & parents cope with & manage the associated psycho-social challenges during & post-divorce. Additional areas of interest include providing counselling for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, trauma and grief/bereavement counseling as well as a special interest in using positive personal psychology approaches and principles to facilitate the achievement of personal growth & self-esteem related challenges in my clients.

In my capacity as a Registered Psychometrist, I specialize in psychometric assessments (children, adolescents & adults) encompassing aptitude, intelligence, personality & emotional functioning. I am able to provide the relevant psychometric testing to facilitate decision making regarding:
• school readiness
• screening for the presence of learning difficulties (including ADHD)
• subject choices (Grade 10 – 12)
• career choices (high school students as well as adults in a career transition phase)
• corporate testing (for example, screening for positive & counter-productive behaviours amongst potential and existing staff members, individual & team profiling; conflict management profiling)
