I have based this review on actual fact and have removed all emotion to enable a true reflection of service rendered versus money paid.
A basic 2-bedroom flat was rented from Neville Rourke estate in Sunny ridge Germiston area South Africa.
Geyser burst on 8th March 2016- after several calls and an e-mail 8 days later still no action to have it repaired and the flat completely flooded for this period.
Neville estate contacted me on the 15th to confirm that they will now forward the issue to the insurer.
The water leak was repaired however the carpets were not replaced due to an issue with the insurance-during this time the carpets were smelling horrendous and it was becoming a health hazard to stay there due to the mould and dampness.
Due to a lack of response and unbearable rotting carpets, and several communication e-mails with no response received notice was given to the estate agent for on the 1st April 2016 for the last day being the 30th April 2016.

As of the 16th June 2016 (47 days) six phone calls one visit to the estate office and several emails the deposit plus interest has not been refunded to date. All estate agents by law deposit all rental deposits into a Trust account.
I have now decided to report this agency to the EAAB of South Africa for assistance.
I have all documentation to prove the fact above.
