Essence of Beauty is a small salon at the bottom of Ridgeton Towers with too bring orange on the walls and one hair stylist catering to your needs.
Sharon started off as a very nice lady whom i went to for a haircut that was perfect. however, i would never recommend her to anyone who wants a colour done. I will pay a lot for a good treatment done and for R800 she dyed my hair a brown that washed out within two weeks. I'm a lady who colours my hair often enough to know that none of my other hair colours gave me this problem.
i was so upset that i messaged her to tell her and this is her response : 'you should have asked for something that was long lasting'. excuse me, but is not all colour meant to be long lasting enough that it does not wash off within two weeks? Which person would even pay so much for something that hardly lasts. She then claims that i should have went with a black colour instead of brown. Had she said that at the time, i would have listened as she is the professional and not i. Regrettably, she did not nor did she show some professionalism and offer to correct her mistake yet she still claims that "i am an honest person and i do not cheat people".
I do not mean to be a horrible client but when it comes to salons, you build a relationship with your stylist and you trust their judgement as this is their trade and not ours. This is the first time in my life that I have had such a horrible experience and this salon did not even try to appease me in a professional manner. Instead, i have been blocked off her WhatsApp.
