Little Kids Golf were also awarded the rights to hold qualifying events for the U.S.Kids World Championship, the Pepsi Littlepeoples Junior Golf Championship and the Optimist which are held annually in the United States. The qualifying tournaments will be used in conjunction with the Order of Merit to select young children to play in these prestigious tournaments and represent their country overseas. In their first year Littlekidsgolf had 19 children play in the Pepsi Littlepeoples Golf Championship as well as the US Kids World Championship. This is the largest ever contingent of junior golfers travelling to the United States to fly the South African Flag. . LITTLEKIDSGOLF CONCEPT AND APPROXIMATE DISTANCES IN METRES The format of play in the Littlekidsgolf tour event is that all players play off respective forward tees and is line with United States and World Junior golf tournaments. There is NO handicap system and for example in the Boys 5-6 they will play a Par 4 at about 140 metres, a Par 3 at 50 metres and a Par 5 at around 190 metres. This system allows the children to record pars, birdies and even eagles and as a result of no handicap the scoring is much simpler as the players need to record only the number of strokes played per hole .The tournament structure will be as follows: 5-6 play nine holes 7- 8 play nine holes 9-10 play nine holes 11-12 play 18 holes
