Kitesurfing in Langebaan has long been high on the wind-rats list of destinations, offering a huge flat water lagoon with super winds... Our kitesurfing lessons are by far the easiest way to learn in Cape town due to the calm waters Kitesurfing Shark Bay, the southern end of Langebaan-A large sandy bay ranging in depth from a foot to about 5 feet depending on the tide, best kited in the south-easter (cross-on). When Cape Town is blown out this bay often get very busy as the wind is generally lighter in Langebaan and it remains possible to kitesurf here this especially counts with regards to Shark Bay where we hold the majority of our kitesurf lessons in Langebaan.
