Prinshof School for the Visually Impaired is a multi-cultural, dual-medium (Afrikaans and English) school situated in the Central Business District of Pretoria in the Tshwane Metropole. Founded in 1963, the school now caters for 321 blind and partially-sighted (low-vision) learners from Grade R to Grade 12. Learners are drawn from all over the country and even from other African countries. The school has excellent, specialised support staff, an eye and medical clinic, a Braille and large print production centre, sports facilities, a music centre, a computer centre, hostel accommodation, aftercare and transport on specific routes.
