Company description
Aid at Hand is a Close Corporation that aims to empower individuals and groups to improve safety and health care through health awareness and skills development. The business originated after a number of expert health care professionals identified a need in the community and health care sector for quality first aid and health care training. Aid at Hand's First Aid training courses are all interactive courses facilitated by experienced enthusiastic instructors. The skills of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), bandaging, splinting, and more are practiced under the guidance of an instructor until course participants can do it with confidence. No prior medical knowledge or skills are necessary to participate in Level 1, 2 and 3 First Aid
Show more training courses. As your interest grows in first aid you can choose to progress to the next level of first aid. Participation in these first aid training courses is an enjoyable experience, as first aid training is an interactive course with lots of opportunity to practice these skills hands-on! Aid at Hand offers a number of the American Heart Association's (AHA) training courses. The AHA offers a wide variety of training courses and the choice will depend on the course participant's need - whether it is community, work or health care related responsibilities that needs to be met. The focus of all these training courses is mostly to teach the skills of effective and safe cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), with added skills like the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), bandaging and splinting, etc. depending on the course. All the AHA courses are based on practice-while-watching a video, with the added advantage of having an instructor to guide skills practice. The latest researched based evidence is that this facilitation method improves retention of knowledge and skills and leads to positive training outcomes.
