The present company is the result of a management buy-out from Dow Chemical Company effective 1st April 2003. The company origin dates back to 1964. The Synthetic Latex Co (Pty) Ltd was formerly a joint venture with Revertex S.A. (Yule Catto/Synthomer). It is now a 100% subsidiary of Karbochem Holdings (Pty) Ltd. Orchem (Pty) Ltd manufactures and trades chemicals for the Rubber and other industries.
