SETTLERS PARK RETIREMENT - Port Alfred

Set in twenty hectares Settlers Park Retirement Village comprises 249 cottages, a modern Frail Care Centre with beds for 36 residents, a spacious Dining Hall, fully operational workshop and an administration block. A qualifying criteria for residency is that one partner must be at least 60 years old. An electric fence and two boomed access points secure the perimeter of the property. In addition to gate guards, roving patrols keep the property under constant surveillance. Within the property, there are no fences, permitting a true park-like environment to be enjoyed by residents, visitors and employees. nursing sister on duty. During the evening, all single residents are phoned to establish the state of their health. If you do not wish to be phoned, an endemnity form must be completed, including weekends. Our nursing sisters also do daily rounds to residents that are not in the best of health to administer medication or change dressings. The Settlers Park Frail Care Centre is the key draw card that attracts many residents to the village. It is spacious and light, each room has its own bathroom, and there are lovely lounges and sunny enclosed patios overlooking beautiful gardens. Our Frail Care also offers Respite Care, for residents and non-residents who require time to recover from illness or hospitalisation. Frail Care and Respite Care includes all meals and access to various other services, such as laundry.
