BRIGADOON - Rustenburg

The Legend In the far northern part of Scotland a miracle unfolded 150 years ago... A small town wrapped in an almost never ending blanket of mist, revealed it's inner soul in what seemed like an eternity to the one who followed the legend. Between the rugged contours of the northern mountains a small family thrived in their own little paradise of luscious vegetarian, immaculate scenery surrounded with the musical tones of birds singing in the evergreen trees. Two members of the family strolled along the narrow footpath up the hillside searching for their herd of goats. Suddenly it seemed like the day became all the brighter, like if the sun had risen for the second time that day. so amazed by the strange events that they followed the goats to the highest peak. To their amazement the most beautiful scenery unfolded… As if the blanket of mist disappeared to make way for the sunrays. Far down below a fairytale like village appeared where the contrast between nature and man weaved into one another to form a perfect picture. Like diamonds in the sun a crystal clear spring cascaded down from the mountain to form part of the perfect creation. As fast as their little legs could carry them, they rushed down to tell the tale of the miracle that they had witnessed, not knowing just how lucky they had been. By the time all others gathered on to of the mountain, the misty blanket came and again covered the legendry Brigadoon for the next 1000 years for those who would be chosen to be the fortunate one’s to see it.
