The service typically consists of: Defining appropriate tests. Determining which parameters should be measured. Installing instrumentation and data acquisition equipment. Conducting the tests and recording the data. Data analysis and interpretation. Producing a full test report. In many cases a computer model of the test is created. The test data is used to validate the model and provide input or boundary conditions for the model. Shock Wave Engineering has a continuously expanding inventory of Test and Measurement equipment including three data acquisition systems. The systems can measure strain, temperature, pressure, acceleration or any other transducer output. In addition the systems are linked to a GPS so position, velocity and heading can be recorded.
