MIYKAEL INSTITUTE OF DIVINE ARTS - Johannesburg

Miykael institute of Divine Arts was formed in 2001 by Michael Marishane and registered in 2006 with the department of social development as a non profit making organization. The aim of its establishment was to assist on development of the community in all aspects of life including performing arts, creative arts, health, alleviating poverty, creating employment, skills development and other related factors. The organization is shaped up by talented, experienced and qualified artists who have undergone training in Arts institution such as Market Theatre Laboratory, Moving Into Dance Mophatong, University of Cape town and Wits University. to the growth of the institution. The network is established to perform, workshop to exchange and transfer of skills and developments. Workshops are facilitated in the form of physical involvement like dance, choreographing, theatre and music; other workshops such as health awareness project to address issues of HIV/AIDS and other related health issues and Africa History Month require a mental concentration and observations, as the information is shared through verbal communication and power point slide presentations.
