Company description
My paintings reflect the grandeur of the land and seascape, and grassroots women pursuing their cultural duties. My paintings contain impressionistic elements in their simplest forms, characterized by unhurried brush strokes and vibrant colours. Our exquisitely hand-painted fabrics product range comprises t-shirts, table cloths, wall -hangings, cushions, table runners, place mats and designs for dress making et cetera. From 1986-1990, I became the first Black person to be admitted to the Ruth Prowse School of Art in Cape Town. This is where I obtained a Higher Diploma in Fine Arts and Designing. I see myself as a person who reaches across the cultural divide, who has experienced cultural shock and who has rediscovered my identity as a result. I envision cultural integration, which I
Show more already perceive to be occurring in the democratic South Africa. My art is the expression of a desire to marry the many divergent peoples and cultures of a fractured and previously-divided land. I am a living testament to the ability of some persons to forget about the hostility of the past. Art work is a vehicle to promote love, peace, tolerance, unity, joy and prosperity for all citizens.
