OLD BEACON HILL

There are 2 cottages, each containing 3 double bedrooms and sleeping up to 6 adults (and as many infants under 3 as you can squeeze in!) Each cottage contains 1 main room that has a double bed and en suite and 2 double rooms with twins. There is also a living room in each cottage that has DSTV at no additional charge. Other rooms in each cottage are: large kitchen/dining area, additional toilet and additional bath/shower room. The cottages are tastefully decorated and contain everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one i.e. All cooking facilities, fridge freezer, oven, microwave. The bedrooms have fitted or mobile fans for the summer and electric blankets, if needed, for the winter. are private grounds to walk around, especially for the guests, that contain a stream, plenty of wildlife, a pond to picnic by, a gazebo (torch-lit in the evenings) all set to a back drop of hills and glorious sunsets. Old Beacon Hill is positioned in the Lowlands and set in the tranquil, picturesque KwaZulu-Natal countryside. Unbelievably this haven is less than a 2 minute drive to the N3 where there is easy access to all that is Drakensberg - only a 25 minute drive will take you to the heart of the Champagne Valley and its mountainous environment. If its arts, crafts, food and wine you¿re after, then a 20 minutes drive will take you to Nottingham Road and all the Midlands Meander has to offer. Locally, there are beautiful drives and walks where you can see Bushman¿s River in all its glory and the first of many historical Battlefield sites - Willow Grange is about 5km away with a scenic drive that takes you up into the hills. You may want to visit a game reserve - the popular Weenan is only 25 minutes away where you can see black and white rhino, giraffe, zebra and a whole host of other marvellous creatures.
