The partnership of R&H Railway Consultants was founded in 1950 as a specialist railway consulting practice by Messrs FC Robertson and MF Hitchins, both of whom had been District Engineers in the South African Railways. With over half a century of railway planning and engineering design experience, R&H Railway Consultants are now ranked as one of Africa's largest private rail consultants. R&H Railway Consultants offer a wide range of services including strategic railway planning, total railway engineering and design, and project management. The company is a member of the Railroad Association (RRA) of South Africa.
