As an intelligent industrial terminal the iS50 simplifies the installation of complex weighing and control systems. When using simply applications, e.g. power-driven roller conveyor it was previously necessary to install a small control unit before and after the scale. This will no longer be the case. A soft SPS that is conform with the IEC 61131-3 does not only permit the adaptation of the visualization, but frequency converters, valves and motors can now also be completely controlled via an internal control unit.The terminal is made of stainless steel and easy to clean. It is suitable for use in industrial ambients and has a protective housing of protective types IP65, IP69 and IP69k. It can be used as a table, wall or stand-alone terminal.The comprehensive, freely programmable graphic display guides the user easily through even complex applications and continuously shows the latest data and information. Information can easily be entered due to a standard Qwerty keyboard and a numeric pad.All serial communication logs as well as Ethernet are available for data exchange. Field buses like Profibus DP can optionally be retrofitted.
The 7" display provides space for the weighing processes of three weighing modules in parallel, which can be displayed separately from each other. This means, for example, that 2 filling processes which are not subject to metrological approval could be performed on the first two scales whereas there is a metrologically approved product control according to the pre-pack regulations on the third scale.
