In terms of distance travelled on the river, this is a very short trail – we take two full days to enjoy the gorge by walking and paddling, swimming and relaxing. The Orange Gorge is the most scenic white-water rafting trail in Southern Africa with towering mountain scenery, a river that alternates between glassy pools and exciting rapids, and stunning campsites. It takes us through a region bypassed by most travellers, to the foot of the magnificent Ritchie or !Gariep Falls. This wonderful environment is perfect for self-discovery, for cementing family relationships, and for building team spirit. Autumn and winter are peak seasons for travel in the Kalahari.
