Cape Town Winelands Day Tour

About the product
Your adventure starts when we collect you from your accommodation. Our transport is air-conditioned vehicles which have lots of leg room to stretch out, all safety equipment needed and a PA system to ensure that you don't miss any information given by your guide during the journey. Your certified guide for the day is a mature Capetonian who has lived here for 37 years and loves to share his local knowledge with our guests. He is fluent in English, Afrikaans and German.

We meander through beautiful landscapes as we make our way to Stellenbosch, the wine capital of South Africa. Narrow streets lined with curio shops, arts & craft studios, and coffee shops are there for you to explore. We also visit the Four Houses museum for a glimpse into the history of this area.

Our next stop will keep us busy with another wine tasting, trying their craft beers also made on the premises and a dream-come-true for those with a sweet tooth: a shop where we try out hand-made chocolates. There is a glass-blow studio where you can watch the masters of this art at work and buy some of their beautiful products. For more retail therapy there are a gift shop and a deli. Lunch is a leisurely affair. There are three restaurants to choose from. Go Continental with yummy tapas or pizza or go local with traditional South African foods which have been given a modern twist. They all offer lovely views over the vineyards and distant mountains. In winter roaring fires keep you warm and in summer we sit under big old leafy trees.

Last we visit a wine farm which not only produces the wines for our tasting. They also make the goats-milk cheese which we will sample. What is really interesting is the tower built in the goats' enclosure. It has a flight of stairs on the outside and the goats just love to climb up and down it. It makes for great photo opportunities!

Our day ends when we deliver you safely back at your place of residence.
