As the Human Resources Administrator , you will be at the heart of the HR operations, ensuring that our new hires have a seamless onboarding experience, our current employees receive exceptional support, and our HR processes run like clockwork. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse and global environment, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a significant impact.

You will manage the full spectrum of HR activities, from welcoming new employees to ensuring the current team members are well-supported. Your day-to-day tasks will involve preparing employment agreements, managing HR systems, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. You will be instrumental in keeping the HR operations smooth and efficient, handling everything from background checks and IT setups to updating employment records and organizing vital documents.

In addition to the administrative tasks, you will be a key player in the employee engagement efforts. Whether it’s managing our Kudos program to recognize outstanding contributions, facilitating the performance appraisal process, or preparing compelling presentations for company-wide meetings, your role will be central to maintaining the vibrant company culture.

Your key job responsibilities as the Human Resources Administrator in Cape Town will include:

  • Onboarding New Employees: You will orchestrate the entire onboarding process, ensuring new hires are set up for success from day one. This includes managing Jira tickets for IT and office setup, preparing and securing employment agreements, and updating HR systems like BambooHR and Persona.
  • Supporting Current Employees: Your role will involve addressing employee queries related to employment details, managing updates to agreements and job roles, and maintaining accurate records in our HR systems. You will also play a critical role in payroll preparation across multiple regions, including Germany, the UK, Ireland, APAC, and MEA.
  • Enhancing Employee Experience: By managing annual vacation plans, overseeing employee benefit programs, and ensuring compliance with policy changes, you will contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. You will also handle payroll-related tasks, generate HR reports, and calculate sales bonuses.
  • Coordinating Cross-Departmental Efforts: You will work closely with IT, finance, and various other departments to ensure smooth transitions and updates. Your role will also include managing healthcare programs in the UK and Ireland, collaborating with Expatrix in the Netherlands, and overseeing remote employee management via remote.com.
  • Continuous Improvement: You will be encouraged to bring innovative ideas to improve our HR processes and contribute to our company’s growth and efficiency. This includes setting up exit surveys, handling policy management inquiries, and ensuring compliance with legislative changes.

Requirements for this Human Resources Administrator job in Cape Town :

  • A degree in Human Resources or a relevant field
  • Proven experience as an HR Administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and systems
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., BambooHR, Persona)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
