The successful candidate will enhance acquisition via the offline affiliate channel by discovering new opportunities with affiliate partners and strengthening existing relationships through effective strategies across all key products and regions.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in affiliate marketing within the offline (and online) gaming industry, demonstrating an ability to juggle multiple tasks and cultivate strong relationships with numerous partners.

Your key job responsibilities as the Partnerships Manager in Johannesburg, South Africa will include:

  • Sourcing and recruiting qualified Offline Affiliates/Partners.
  • Monitoring existing Offline Affiliates/Partners to ensure proper earning models and affiliate payment methods are in place.
  • Regularly checking the earnings reports (Revenue Share and/or CPA) of current Offline Affiliates/Partners to identify any anomalies.
  • Providing daily feedback to the direct line manager on existing and future deals.
  • Developing commercial relationships with potential acquisition partners, including Offline Affiliates/Partners.
  • Managing all personalized communications with Offline Affiliates/Partners.
  • Planning and organizing promotions to encourage Offline Affiliates/Partners to generate acquisitions.
  • Assisting in resolving technical issues, concerns, and requests from Offline Affiliates/Partners.
  • Successfully negotiating and finalizing positioning agreements with affiliates.
  • Selecting and briefing appropriate creative content.
  • Coordinating back-end fulfillment with other departments.
  • Measuring campaign performance by monitoring key metrics such as customer acquisition, cost per acquisition, and return on investment.
  • Maximizing campaign performance through adjustments to creative, positioning, pricing, etc., based on performance metrics.
  • Demonstrating initiative in exploring market opportunities as they arise.
  • Driving innovation through new and existing channels.
  • Offering best practice suggestions for customer acquisition in assigned markets.
  • Providing regular insights to the business regarding market opportunities.
  • Reviewing and approving commission payments and identifying any affiliate fraud by coordinating with the fraud department.
  • Networking and attending international conferences as opportunities arise.
  • Collaborating closely with international and local partners to ensure optimal campaign performance and maintain strong relationships for favorable treatment.

Requirements for this Partnerships Manager job in Johannesburg, South Africa :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or 2 to 3 years of sales management, relationship management, and/or business development experience.
  • Strong understanding of online metrics, including key concepts such as CPA and ROI.
  • Client-facing experience in sales and/or account management.
  • Ability to design and implement market entry strategies as needed.
  • Capability to operate strategically and operationally while managing high complexity.
  • Creativity and business acumen to identify or develop viable online marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business divisions.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills to set appropriate metrics and perform necessary analysis.
  • Strong negotiation and deal closure abilities.
  • Essential business acumen for liaising with clients internationally.
