Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning:
Maintain open communication channels with other departments such as logistics, procurement, and quality assurance.
Provide regular updates to senior management on production progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Matric
- Relevant degree in Production/Operations/Engineering
- 5-10 Years manufacturing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages
- Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the availability of resources such as raw materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Supervise and lead Forman’s.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate Forman’s to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality products.
- Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement in quality and efficiency.
- Take corrective actions to address quality issues promptly.
- Develop and manage the production budget by estimating cost and preparing budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Enforce and promote a safe working environment in accordance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards promptly.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance overall productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations.
