Civil Engineer

· Quality Service Rep for Auxiliary Engineering Department.
· Maintenance by providing engineering insight to the civil maintenance of the power station
through scope of works, preventative maintenance inspections as well as multiple
housekeeping projects to ensure to continuous production of electricity. These projects include,
but are not limited to the following:
- Concrete Repairs
- Parking lot extension
- IBR Sheeting Repair
- Structural Inspections
- Drainage Solutions
· Project Leader on multiple projects within the power station:
- Refurbishment of the sewer treatment plant at Kriel Power Station which is
responsible for treating sewage from the station as well as the town of Kriel, South
Africa.
- The repair and replacement of IBR Sheeting on the generation units (the most critical
buildings at the power station because it houses components such as the boiler, turbine
and generators).
- Design and construction of additional weighbridges at the coal plant owned by Kriel
Power Station. The project is estimated to increase the efficiency of the station
receiving coal by 100%; hence, increasing the reliability of the station because of the
constant and consistent supply of coal.
· Part of the tender evaluation team for:
- Civil and Structural work on generation units during outage
- Gravel roads
