Stagbars are dog chews derived from naturally shed deer antler which have been collected, cleaned and cut down to size. At first it may seem really hard but whether licked into submission, or gnawed down to a nub, a Stagbar wears down slowly & tastily from end to end. Once they’ve worn through the outer boney layer, they reach the dry marrow-like centre which is the tastiest part, much like your favourite hard candy.

The antlers themselves differ from the hollow horns of cattle in that they comprise solid bone tissue with a honey combed inner structure. Rich in protein and minerals yet low in fat, Stagbars are also hypo-allergenic and gentle on sensitive tummies. Unlike rawhide, bone and hoof chews Stagbars do not splinter or break off in pieces and thus pose no risk for intestinal

Deer shed their antlers each year as part of as seasonal cycle, growing a more elaborate pair the following year. These sheds drop to the floor and are collected by permit holders during specific seasons.
