The Cape Peninsula mountain range is directly behind the house so there are numerous walks through the indigenous fynbos right on your doorstep. The range is home to the smallest and richest floral kingdom in the world and a healthy bird life. Small wildlife such as ghecko, tortoise, tiny buck and baboon live in the valleys bordering the nature reserve Coastal walks meander from your front door, left to Simon¿s Town and right to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. The rock pools along the way are full of life and colour and are a constant source of wonder. From May to November, the Southern Right Whales come to calve in the warm waters of False Bay.
