In compliance with the objectives of the South African Sports Commission as stipulated in the Act (Act 109 of 1998, Article 12), the South African Sports Commission is responsible to oversee the strategic direction and implementation of the project as well as the following: SASC High Performance Committee is responsible for overall strategic direction and Policy framework of the Academy Access advice from the Sports Science and Medical Committee The Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Board as mentioned above administers the Academy. Its financial resources are sourced from the Provincial Department of Culture, Sport, and Recreation; and National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF). This financial support is extremely not sufficient to cover the programmes as briefly outlined
