DISABLED TRAVEL - Hermanus

An unfortunate skiing accident 3 years ago, left Karin with a broken leg and the reality of being wheelchair bound for a period of 3 months. Suddenly she was enlightened even further to the plight disabled people face on a daily basis when they attempt to complete the most mundane tasks in gaining access to public amenities and buildings, and the disregard with which they are treated when they challenge why access is limited and blatantly restricted to those able bodied people in the community. Armed with both aspects of the situation, Karin has made the commitment to improve, educate and enlighten the community she resides in and within time, she hopes to increase the awareness throughout our Rainbow Nation to the fact that both disabled people and able bodied people deserve access to all amenities available in our society to enrich and improve our quality of life!
