Dear Menlyn Taxi Association.

I am a commuter of your taxis residing in Sunnyside. I just boarded a taxi right now from Sunnyside to Marabastad. When we got to the route-changing point next to Maupanaga, I was changed to another taxi. The driver then was not pleased since he was given extra people for marabastad. He then instructed all of us to get off his taxi and return to our initial taxis after we all indicated that we were not coming from the last taxi that he had already instructed the overloading people to get off and return to.

He kept on saying this is his taxi, go lla seeta sa gage sa size 8.


With due respect batswadi baka, please talk to taxi drivers to atleast respect us when we are in your taxis. This kind of treatment is not acceptable especially when there is older people

Just when i thought the taxi industry is improving , i had a worst moment yesterday. I got highly embarrased and thrown out of the taxi for asking a passanger who could not count money to say sorry. After the guy struggled with change and after passing the incorrect change backwards 5 times, he realised he was wrong. Instead of being polite about it he pulls the money out of my hand. Then i was wrong by asking if he wont atleast apologies, to be honest it wasnt a big deal until the Quantum driver (Df 89 .. gp) joined in and asked me why ngidelela indoda. He said a woman is not allowed to ask a guy to say sorry, Oh hell broke loose when i was told not to say one more word in the taxi or else he will leave me behind. When i tried to ask the driver if he saw what happened, he just emphasied that i was a woman and i dont talk to a man like that. He insulted me and dropped off jus before we got to MenloPark high school. I had to walked in the darkness until i got to Lynnwood road. I am highly disappointed.

Great commuter concern

I use the taxi everyday ad things that we come across it's very sad and need a serious management intervention.
Everyday you get to the taxi and when they have to exchange between unisa and at park street , this morning just to change to go to bosman it took 20minutes and the drivers don't care because he didn't want to go to marabastad, they are really failing us because they only take your money and after changing with another taxi the driver will demand money from you as the other driver had left without their knowledge.

They are really failing people a mere change to say who goes where takes almost 30mins , it's really unfair to the commuters.

Menlyn management please see to it that we get someone to direct the taxis as to where they going because the drivers always have an argument before the taxi can leave. Especially between unisa and taxis at park street.

Your soonest response will be highly appreciated

Sorry to say this we were not treated well on Monday by one ndebele tax driver he was so rude to us on Monday 12midnight he even wanted to drop us b4 our station and he drived careless running after a security car that had picked people up it was bad shame

Please consider at least an afternoon route from The Hills, Garsfontein road. Those people often walk 6km to Mooikloof spar in order to get taxis.

I want to report the worst treatment we just received from one of your taxi drivers the Registration number DF32MG GP.It was a family of 3 a mother and two kids who where mistreated. We boarded the taxi from Menlynin Mall around 7H15 pm.The mother was sitting in front and the siblings at the back.There was a miscommunication since l thought my mother in front might have paid for us at the back.When the taxi driver asked who didn't pay since the money was in short.l realised its because because of me and my sibling.I then took out the money to pay since it was an innocent mistake.But the taxi driver started shouting at us telling us to get out of his taxi even when we wanted to pay.The whole passsengers indicated that if the driver is kicking us out of his taxi the whole taxi is getting out as as well and taxi driver should then give us back all our taxi fare.All passengers got out of the taxi and the taxi driver refused to give them back their money that's when everyone got back onthe taxi and left us out of no where even when we wanted to pay .

This incident happened at night and we didn't even know where the taxi driver left us and our safety was compromised.
I herby lay this complaint and expect the assosciation to do something with this driver even if it means suspension.If nothing is done with this taxi he will continue doing even horrible things with other passengers in future.

Please do something about this driver and l expect to hear the outcome of this incident.
If l don't hear get the response soon expect to receive more query about this incident from different sources until this matter has been addressed since the safety of passengers is at stake with this driver.

I'm very dispointed in a driver who makes a mistakes and still insult is just becouse we are woman.
Jumping red robbot and almost pumped into my car next to sasol filling station in Sunnyside.

Please tell your drivers to stay off the cellphine while driving and not to jump the red robot.

Dear Association,

I don't know if it has come to your attention that there is no workable taxi system to Olympus, Pretoria. Commuters have to walk 1 km or more after dropping off the taxi to their homes.

Please assist us by providing us with taxis that can drop us less than a 1 km home even if it means commuters paying more for the fare.

It is better to be home safely than not.

Please review the routes in these areas and assist us.

Worst taxi driver ever!!! Taxi with number plate WZB720GP was inch from knocking into a car. If the car didn't stop, it would have been a horrible accident. The taxi driver didn't even apologise, just continued munching and throwing his dirt on the road.

I am not impressed with taxis from Hatfield to Pretoria central. In the morning we are on our way to work ,but the drivers waste our time by going around and taking a while before they can exchange pasengers. Some of us have to get to some places were we have to catch another transport which leaves at a certain time.
