Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscapes within South Africa. Utilize this information to develop effective sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities. Understand clients' needs, challenges, and goals to propose appropriate mechatronic component solutions that add value to their operations.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives to drive revenue growth and market penetration. This includes setting sales targets, creating action plans, and monitoring performance metrics.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our mechatronic components, their features, applications, and benefits. Effectively communicate this knowledge to clients to demonstrate the value proposition of our products and differentiate them from competitors.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues to address client inquiries, resolve issues, and optimize the overall customer experience.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms and agreements. Utilize strong communication and negotiation skills to overcome objections, address concerns, and finalize deals in a timely manner.
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion within South Africa, including targeting new industries, geographic regions, or customer segments. Develop strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance market reach and visibility.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent qualifications are a plus.
- Proven track record of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the mechatronic components or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the South African market dynamics, including industry regulations, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa as required.
