Reviews of Dr Chrysis Sofianos | Plastic and Reconstructive - Johannesburg

Went for a blepharoplasty and eyebrow lift with dr Sofianos on the 30th of June 2020.

I came out of surgery experiencing extreme pain, blurred vision, constant tearing eyes and swelling - Dr Sofianos nowhere to be found.

Could not see for about 2 to 3 days with extreme sensitivity to light.

The swelling started subsiding around 8 to 12 days only to realizing that the cuts Dr Sofianos made above my eyebrows were about 1 and a half cm to high leaving me with terrible, very visible, cuts above my eyebrows that had stitches that looked like it was done in a back-ally somewhere in Hilbrow. Left side stitches above the eyebrows pulled out after 10 days causing a gaping hole at the end of the one eyebrow. (This was restitched, as an emergency.)

After about 2 weeks both my eyes started dropping. This caused droopy eyes with even worst tearing. Left eye dropped so much that my left eyeball was now visibly exposed. With one eye bigger than the other I also developed a fat pocket on the outside of my right eye.

After about a 4 to 5 weeks extreme pain, discomfort and ..... Dr Sofianos claimed from his insurance and refers me to Dr Lady’s who did corrective surgery to fix Dr sofianos‘s mess in a 6 hour procedure. It will, most probably, take another few procedures to fix the mess Dr Sofianos caused.
