But to the little people, if you ever looking for a security company.. think twice

I stay in a building that uses their security Services, we pay levies every month and a total of R******** towards security.

Yet my apartment got broken into, with one of the points of access being my balcony which is right in view of the security desk. At night according to our levy breakdown. We pay for a patrolling officer and a desk officer yet somehow no officer saw a burglar jump my wall and enter my apartment, and then leave with a ton of goods.

The morning I found out my apartment was ransacked the following exchange occurred

Me: sorry Please help, my apartment got broken into
Security officer : wait, I’m busy
Me : please
Security officer casually strolls to the apartment and sighs : did you lock your apartment?

To which I got annoyed and demanded he call the police and I refused to engage further with him. A few Moments later the security manager arrived and instead of giving me the attention I needed, insisted he needs to check on the apartments next to me because ‘there’s expensive items there.’ He was honestly not a great person to deal with, even the cops and detectives were warmer than this guy. He just didn’t care and kept on saying ‘oh this is odd’

He also then wrote a terrible report, insinuating that the robbery never occurred and that I was ‘untidy’. A poor attempt that claiming that my apartment was not ransacked but rather I live like that. He also called me rude and aggressive for not wanting to engage with his security guard mentioned above.

Over all security at my building is terrible. Security guards are always on their phones, I literally have jumped over my balcony wall a few times to test them and they haven’t noticed me. They always chatting loudly on their phones and never notice when people enter the building or don’t sign in. Some have even told me they work 24 hour shifts !! So don’t know how they awake on duty .. We also have no security cameras :).

So anyway if you’re a body corp or anyone looking for security services !! Maybe think twice
