Contrary to some claims Gomes Design does not provide "turn key" projects. Seem to provide limited electrical and no painting services. The contract is set up in such a way that by signing it the client practically forfeits all his rights and is no longer protected by the Consumer Protection Act. The usual "take it or leave it" attitude so common among the South African small business prevails. No guarantee for schedule is provided. To the contrary, the client is asked to agree to an astonishing declaration that "the time is not of the essence". Moreover the client is asked to provide most of the materials and no insurance for any losses is secured. Looks like unprofessional outfit shifting all the risk onto the client. An arbitrator whom I consulted advised to be "very careful" with this contractor. Would not recommend it. Unless of course you have a lot of time and money is “of no essence” if its wasted.
