Cosy restaurant
A small neat restaurant in Grahamstown. The food was pleasant, service friendly. On entering, there was no sanitiser provided. We were a party of four, seated in a warm room with two other tables occupied. The waitress apologised that there were not enough photostated menu papers for us.The menu was small with 2,3 items per catergory, starters, fish, pasta and dessert.Luckily there was a vegetarian option for me.(I had the broccoli soup and the feta phyllo pastry),both starters which were served to me first while my family waited for their food.We would have enjoyed a bread basket to start, not there.
We ordered a plate of chips(not on the menu)We wanted to order cooldrink for the kids, not available. We had brought our own wine, nice. The food we ordered,fish,pasta,gnocci..arrived in good time.we opted for 4 deserts, chocolate pudding times three(where they were short of strawberries) was quite dry.and one moist enjoyable tiramisu.Overall meal was good, decor simple and elegant. No mention of paninis and coffee as on the signboard outside. We did not get a plate of chips, only a few chips with the fish. Our meal was not cheap, but enjoyable for Grahamstown.Thank you.
