Reviews of Autostyle Motorsport - Johannesburg

I installed a gearlock at autostyle motorsport.  I went out on the 3rd February because we thought we were going to experience loadshedding.  I used my very expensive gearlock just installed 2 weeks prior.  The key broke on the first use.  I made contact with Larry who immediately did not understand it was about a key.  He told me I must get a locksmith.  The locksmith told me that I cannot make a duplicate key.  These keys are coded.


The 4th I went to autostyle motorsport and the Manager said to me don't worry we will find a solution even if we have to change the unit.   Turns out when they found spare keys the said I have to pay for it.  I said to the manager who didn't appreciate his own words.  These keys are hard to break.  I gave them the key that was broken in half.  They said I have to pay 850.  I said I will meet them halfway as a courtesy because they didn't detect the key was faulty.  Their own words these keys are hard to break.  They did not issue me with an invoice and model number of the gearlock. 

The manager said they will help me even if they have to change the unit.

I swear God is my witness.  They were all about them and not a defective key.  These keys don't break I was told. Exactly why I was there.  The initial quote was R1100 and I paid R2000 for a product.  Absolutely no customer service.  Lot of promises and smiles and I phone to ask.

What u gonna do.  We not meeting u halfway. 

I am doing is reporting them for no after sales or common decency when I was told we will help you.  No we are sorri for a defect we sold to you.

I am relocating in 2 days to another province and they holding me hostage to buy the replacement key.  The fact that it broke on first usage.  Says a lot about the key that broke.
