AMANZ’ ABANTU SERVICES

Amanz’ abantu is an established company, formed in 1997 to act as the Programme Implementation Agent for the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry for the accelerated roll-out of basic water services in the peri-urban and rural areas in the Eastern Cape. This programme was successfully completed in February 2004, having delivered at least basic RDP services to over 750, 000 people. Since this time it has been active in managing projects in developing communities as well as interacting and building capacity in Local Government. Amanz’ abantu Services has a 65% ownership by historically disadvantaged firms and individuals.
