Many of the chairs that people were sitting on claimed to be ergonomically designed, but put the spine in a very poor position while sitting. Thus Dr Birdsey decided to design a chair according to ergonomic and biomechanical principles of the spine in order to help ease the back and neck pain suffered by these people.
