Destination Medicine is proud to offer you two unique first aid courses that are entirely focused on bush based medicine.
Our BASIC first aid program is designed to produce basic responders in a bush environment, a two day program that cover all the department of labour level 1 requirement, CPR and wound management but set in an austere environment. From how to build stretcher from what you have to basic survival tips and long term patient management before help arrives, this course is a simple yet effective introduction to wilderness first aid.
Our ADVANCED program is in a league of its own, a program that equips our learners to do everything from providing oxygen and professional resuscitation techniques to tourniquets usage and haemostatic agents for major trauma.
This course qualifies you as a level 1 first aider and advanced wilderness first aider with international certification.
This five day program is designed to take you and your staff to the next level of patient care, spend five days with us and we will teach you first aid in your environment for long term patient care and medical evacuation, spinal immobilization and much more!
